Last night when Spot was circa US$1490, the spread hit USD$80 (Futures at $1570). The spread closed back to still ver Bullish $35 later in teh US session.
I'm having a stab that Spot might touch $1655 thru Middle East/Euro session, then march on to $1700 in US session. Pure technical guesswork, as it's tough to find fundamentals to back it up other than an historical shortage of gold held by US on shore.
SPREAD is back at $70USD as we speak. With Futures @ US$1699!
