Interestingly, Acadia hasn’t opted to put a hold on any of the other clinical trials it is conducting in its own drug, pimavanserin. These include trials in patients one might consider more vulnerable to COVID-19, such as patients with Parkinson’s and neurodegenerative diseases. One of these trials is specifically recruiting just patients aged 60 to 85 years. The trial locations are throughout the US and Europe, including the UK.
Two other observations –
Since January 1, the ACAD share price has fallen roughly 11%. The A$1 shareprice at which Lang Walker sold out this morning was 60% less than NEU’s share price on January 1.
If Baker Bros was the buyer this morning, the US$8.5m paid represents small change compared with the US$128m ($US$3.06 per share) overnight increase in the value of Baker Bros. holding in ACAD.
