Thanks Tuts. I wasn’t very clear in my previous comment. It was more about the placebo results being much higher than anticipated. If Im understanding things correctly (and my knowledge of the science here is extremely limited), Efti performed well, and if the placebo arm performed at the ‘normal’ expectations for paclitaxel alone, then it would have been a whole different story. If that’s the case, there is still hope, and it would be a shame if further trials weren’t conducted in this treatment as a result of that (financial challenges aside). The psychological factor of the placebo, sure, but what other anomalies need to be taken into consideration.
