Hi Rino, sorry *70%. My reading says that coronavirus is the generic name for the cold or flue type ilnesses. Every year we get mutations with different levels of transferability and severity. The particular strain we are dealing with, covid 19, is relatively easily transmitted and moderate on severity scale.

About 80% of those who get covid 19 will show no symptoms but still be able to pass the virus. The mortality rate globaly is under 3% presently and the core issue is sever acute resporitory syndrome which hits about 6% of those infected. The inflamation can get deep in the lungs and severely restrict oxygen passing into the system and the taking of CO2 out of the system therfor requiring hospitalization and resporators till the inflamation passes.

The China experience (in the territory of early infection) is higher motality at early stages of virus progression but way lower as time passed. Also and importantly by practising seperation therfor reducing the rate of transmission they now have significantly less cases requiring medical intevention.

its controlled infection rather than herd infection that enables a base line immunity to build in the community and self limit transmission.
below is an interesting article covering in more detale some gindings. Whats this got to do with TNG, heaps, our SP has been smashed and the feeling is the finish line is a distant hope. My sence of everything is there is some hope of a early recovery and the economic community bouncing back faster than we currently think. Im no expert but that is my sence of all this.
