    New traders,
I've only recently begun to trade with any sort of control. I've been playing at this since 2005, only in the last three months has stuff started to come together. I am a slow and obstinant learner, lol.

Though incredibly unwise, I'd like to throw this into the mix for your digestion.

Trading is a different yet intertwined game from Technical Analysis, chart reading and data crunching.

If you want to trade, I suggest this:

Do not feel fear, do not feel greed. Do not feel hope.

Be cold and sure in your reasons to trade, and be prepared for all possible outcomes. (luckily there is normally only two... win or lose)

It has taken me 3 years, cost me all my money and almost took my sanity to get to where I can keep a trading account steady. No kidding.

However, I freakin love the game...

I can look at a long term index chart and go...yup, we could have reached the bottom...

But in reality, I don't care... If it goes down, I'll try to be short, if it goes up, I'll try to be long.

If it goes up more than down... well that's a nice edge.

By the way... I've been on hotcopper for about three years, and only began posting in the last one... The first two I spent reading this thread. lol

Gann45 is a legend... I don't need to tell you about Voltaire.

    ;)
