Tonight I trialled a tuna veggie bake ... a mix of cooked rice, lentils and finely cubed sweet potato ... diced onion, celery fried in olive oil and some butter, flour stirred in, milk mixed in, curry powder mixed in, frozen peas added, large tin of flaked tuna and a small amount of grated cheese added ... layer of rice mixture, layer of tuna sauce mix, repeated, with basil and parsley from the garden between the second rice and tuna sauce layer ... bake in oven for 30 mins.

Passed the Mrs Dex test and enough for 3 meals each. Damn cheap too.

In hard times some of those ingredients might not be available, so some things out and other things in ... celery, basil and parsley easily home grown.

Any other suggestions?

I have worked out that I am ok if I drink my Corona in my study! I have the latest Trend Micro Anti Virus. Getting the missus to keep the pizza's free flowing is taking some effort though!
