The Malaysian border is over 1000km from CVN's producing oilfields.
The L52/53 field that they have applied for is roughly 200km from that same border, but isn't likely to come online for a couple of years yet.
I notice they didn't mention risk of meteor strike in their report either. I think Bewby may be onto something here, clearly management have something to hide.
