This can be easily resolved by putting up notices on every page of its website that delivery will take at least 4 or 6 weeks or whatever the company deem fit. And during checkout, to make sure, when the customer clicks confirm, a pop up message can reiterate that message and have customer confirm again or cancel order if they can't wait.
I am sure this can be easily implemented. I am talking from a customer point of view and am very interested in the product as a customer.
