in korea where I am based, the borders aren't closed and there is no lockdown. All shops and stores are operating normally. Everyone wears a mask and me too when I am teaching. Whether masks are effective, well who knows but they wear them in hospitals anyway. The buses and subways seem to be busy as usual but some people are working remotely from home. There is a lot of free sanitiser around and people are encouraged to keep their hands cleaned.
