I don't know what you mean by 'opposing verses', all I have seen in that area is a total lack of understanding on the part of the critic. Most of them don't even grok the definition of 'contradiction' and apply the word to anything that's a bit hard for them to think about or research.

I have read the Bible.
A contradiction is two or more statements on an event or topic that can't all be true.
There are plenty of those in the Bible.
It appears that it is you who needs to read the Bible.
