The problem here for this company seems to be more than just CareStream.
CareStream seem disinterested in promoting or selling the portable x-ray machine.
In cases like this, there is usually a reason.
Back in the day, I worked for Microsoft for a while, and they often bought up products, or struck licensing and marketing deals for products, similar to the MX1 and CareStream deal, but Microsoft had no intention of marketing those products well, they simply wanted to delay the product and company because they either had secret agreements with other companies, or they had a similar product themselves which they wanted to push.
A similar thing could be happening with MX1 and CareStream. The CareStream distribution agreement in the USA seems to be one of the worst mistakes this company has made, and apparently it can't be undone until sometime in 2021, by which time the COVID-19 pandemic will hopefully be on the wane.
If I was MX1, I'd be hiring a forensic private accountant to track down any other hidden or secretive deals that CareStream may currently have with other x-ray providers, or with people or companies who's interest is not best served by MX1 booming.
The other problem the company has is that their portable x-ray machine is not unique. I was in hospital recently and they rolled in a portable x-ray machine to my bed and took a picture and rolled it out on a purpose built trolley. No problems.
The only advantage the MX1 portable x-ray machine seems to have then, is simply that it's lighter, but the one used on me was on a trolley and so it was pushed in and out anyway, so the weight was no issue at all.
What the company really needs to push, is a "differentiator", or a unique new element for the product, if they have one !!
They should therefore be pushing the nano-technology and it's superior picture clarity, combined with some artificial intelligence that diagnoses lung diseases with extreme accuracy.
Like I said, if they have it.
That's the way they should be going.
Otherwise, from the marketing we have seen, there is really nothing that's new in terms of actually being able to roll in a portable x-ray machine and take a picture of someone's lung in a hospital bed.
They seem to be doing a rather poor job of getting their "differentiator message" out to the market.
I'm still waiting to hear it.
So please MX1, hit me with the Nano-Technology stuff, and the Artificial Intelligence and Algorithmic Diagnostic stuff - stun me with it, right between the eyes, please. Don't just give me more of the portable light weight wheel-in machine thing, because it clearly doesn't cut it ...... yawn.
I want them to succeed, but they seem removed from the necessary promotional realities, what to promote, and how to do it, and who to do it with. It's frustrating, because there is great potential here.
