The run on the market today is an interesting side effect of yesterday's Job Saver announcement..
The Government's $1500.00 a fortnight has been positive for the markets....
Positive for employers... It definitely sent the right message to the employers.
I am already hearing stories from people I know where there employer has said they need to let them go from their $100k job but not to worry as the they are now eligible for $36k a year to keep their job under the jobsaver program and when things come good the employer will slowly ratchet their salary back up.
This is one way to change the dynamics of the market overnight...
It will limit their tax base in the future when they then need to raise taxes to pay the billions back
