zzzzz 1 - you are correct. The sp is so low and the AUD is worth nothing now - buying anything with rupiah from Australia is so good.

Problem is back in May I wanted to convert my AUD to rupiah and my wife said I was "stupid". Last time I listen to her financial advise.

I am doing some business in China and the seller wants to be paid in RMB - paper money so he can buy lots of rice, noodles and vegies. IT has stayed so strong against the
US $ I think maybe we should use this as currency instead of AUD.

People say Australia benefits from a low currency value because we get more AUD for our exports. How much of BHP's USD income from iron ore sales ends up back in Australia as AUD????

Sorry to break the RCH thread but their SP and the AUD are suffering the same way.
