I cant remember what channel(ABC or SBS?) it was but there was a current affairs show recently on the farming communties in the US where the bakken formation was being drilled - making millionares out of farmers who have been doing it tough most of their lives and were now being paid good royalties (or whatever) for the oil coming out of their land.
