Russia doesn't need IMF support for gold, forex reserves - Kudrin
MOSCOW. Oct 10 (Interfax) - Russia does not need support from the
International Monetary Fund for its gold and forex reserves, Deputy
Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin said at a government
meeting on Monday.
During financial consultations held in Washington at the end of
last week, the IMF was recognized for its decisive role in supporting
countries that have shortages of gold and forex reserves.
"This does not concern Russia, but it does concern other
countries," Kudrin said, noting that Russia has sufficient reserves.
Such nations include countries from Eastern European and the CIS, he
said.
