But one needs to remember that not everyone who owns shares is a trader - the friends I speak of are mainly older people - you know the ones - work for years buy shares when ever they have some money and they hold them - because thats what they have always been told to do.
They have seen down turns come and go but I think most would admit this has been different - and it scared them
