I am a mining guy and I love gold projects but given mining folks cant do anything anytime soon (exploration wise) I just dont have an appetite for mining unless a bit advanced at the moment, or a very cheap deal.
It was Tunks who said the following "the only time you invest in a spec mining stock is when they are drilling, otherwise they are just f%^$^$ you around"
