"The community was almost decided it is a good thing that AFL, NRL and Rugby in Australia went back to amateur status, safer for all concerned, might bring some interest back."
Mate, that is a very uninformed quote. The NRL and AFL have received record tv rights deals for a reason. Do you honestly think $1 billion is handed over to these sports out of good will????
Your statement "might bring some interest back" is utterly ridiculous.
Here's a hint for you about "interest" and why COMPANIES pay for sports content. Five of the top 10 most watched shows were AFL and NRL . AUSTRALIA SPORTS. The Australian Open, the Australian Grand Prix don't match the NRL and AFL. And COMPANIES like channel 9 or 7 pay big $$$$$ for an entire season for a reason.
Why not be consistent and start posting about the staff of 60 minutes, 9 news, "today" and every other person who provides entertainment and complain about them not working a second job.
