Petros Petropoulos (aka "Rocky the Rocker") lives in my village, Petroules (aka the Rockies). He is a wizzard with the tin cans, so much so that he is the only one who does not use a wire to connect the two and he can speak to his girlfriend,Petroula (aka Pebbles) -two meters away- quite effectively. I know the couple quite well -everyone does because everyone can hear their conversation quite clearly. One Petros cupped the ground with his tin can and attached his ear to it. Suddenly, Petros could hear Plato and Socrates and Aeschulus, Sophocles, Euripides, Aristophanes, Pericles -anyone he wanted to speak with, really! No wires to be seen anywhere. So then he called his girlfriend, Petroula on the can and told her about his stunning discovery. And, of course, the whole village -including me- heard the conversation (between Petros and Petroula) and so, people being innately gossipers, they did what the Chinese are well known for doing: they whispered! And so it was that Kathimerini was called -using Petros' can, of course- and the news spread through the pancosmic news repository called "google" which is English for Rockheads. God, what would the Italians and the Turks know? The Italians use spaghetti to link their cans and the Turks use kebab skewers!
