Tesla or another could buy or buy part of SYR for a song. Problem solved. Set up a battery manufacturing plant in Mozambique - i'm sure the other materials are available nearby at very cheap prices - alas Tesla or someone could have a bigger monopoly re global EV battery supply than the Chinese are planning although I am quietly confident the Chinese are circling and looking to take full advantage of the current situation re cv19 and SYR. It's a compelling case for China who scour the globe for exactly these opportunities in securing their 100-200 year objectives.
Damn they can buy SVM next door as well and have even more graphite with shite loads of rutile - park the train at a depot along the Nacala rail corridor and load what was SYR'S graphite and ship to the East to their mega battery factories they have built or are building to have control of the global EV battery market - no one else will be able to compete - the way China loves it.
