Throwing the rule book out the window now.US does not have the virus under control and most major segments of their economy are in callapse.
Their unemployment rate might just hit 20% before this thing ends and market will still be at extremely lofty prices as people chase the returns and dividends.
Companies completing capital raises (issuing shares at discounted prices) and thus increasing the amount of SOI only to realise that if they come out of this the dividend yield will never be the same again.
