There is a better explanation. The corona virus is far less destructive than models were predicting. This is especially true in Australia.
Yes there will still be a recession, yes there is a huge loss in GDP for most countries for Q2/Q3, but I think the market is gambling that the predicted closures of 6-12 months won't carry on for that long.
