It's not just ARDS related deaths from COVOD-19 that we have to worry about. A significant number of people with underlying heart conditions are dying due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
https://khn.org/news/mysterious-heart-damage-not-just-lung-troubles-befalling-covid-19-patients/
Excerpts from the link above:
"An initial study found cardiac damage in as many as 1 in 5 patients, leading to heart failure and death even among those who show no signs of respiratory distress."
What that means is this:
People who do not have ARDS are dying from heart failure. (Some could be dying due to both conditions)
(My uncle in NY City is a GP and he told me his friend died of heart failure after getting COVID-19 (he was given Hydroxychloroquine with Azithromycin)
Another good link is from the Adult Congenital Heart Association:
https://www.achaheart.org/your-heart/health-information/covid-19-coronavirus-what-it-means-for-adults-with-congenital-heart-disease/

So while ARDS related deaths can be treated with REMESTEMCEL-L, the following two treatments from Mesoblast can address heart related deaths:
1. Mesoblast's Revascor (which is almost done with Phase 3) to treat CHF
2. Mesoblast's MPC-25-IC to treat acute myocardial infarction (in Phase 2)
So COVID-19 presents more opportunities for Mesoblast. We could very well be seeing related news in the coming days.
PS: Once again, for the umpteenth time, it is the ASX which drags the share price down. MESO went up more than MSB after the latest news but had to give up the gains today due to the darn arbitrage. It frustrates me to no end when I see some folks blame the NASDAQ listing. That's just ignorance. Fix the ASX and stop trying to flip for pennies. If this stock was not listed on the ASX, it would be trading at multiples of the current level on the NASDAQ/NYSE. Games get played on the NASDAQ/NYSE too (for other stocks I watch) but not to the extent I have seen on the ASX. And certainly not for this long. I have been holding and watching MESO for 4 years but there are many here who have been holding for 10+ years and seen these games on the ASX.
