"...So we are agreed that Cardinal Pell was presumed innocent from the time of his charging up until the time of his acquittal...."

Pell had the presumption of innocence for that time, and it was up to the prosecution to prove otherwise.

After the case is finished, there is no requirement to presume innocence (or guilt), as the legal process is complete.
