When I searched CommSec, I got following.

Does CommSec automatically exercise Options?
At close of business on the date of expiry, CommSec will automatically exercise any long Options position that is in the money by 1 cent or more for equity Options, or one point or more for Index Options.

What is Options expiry?
Options expiry is the last day where the holder of the option may exercise it based on the conditions of the option. CommSec will automatically exercise any long options position that is in the money...

Isnt this mean they will auto exercise and we need to pay the exercise price through CDIA account, if our chess account is with CommSec.
