Did you watch the video about Lifeline South Africa. You need to get a grip on reality. The vast majority of people do not live in 5br, 3 bathroom luxury like we do. They live in slums with barely enough room to swing a cat, little to no sanitation, often no electricity or running water.
People need to look past their own comfortaable life and think of those less fortunate. There have been 18 deaths in South Africa from what I can see. You think that's justification for thousands upon thousands of cases of abuse as people are locked away in their corrugated tin sheds like rabbits with no way of earning an income or providing for their families?
This is repeated in many countries throughout the world. For example India alone, approx. 300 million without electricity, unsanitary conditions, people on the edge of survival anyway, getting belted with sticks if they go out and strike an unforgiving officer.
You may be coping, but possibly hundreds of millions are not.
