You have to give the Singaporeans credit. They have done an outstanding job at building a prosperous, advanced, industrial and modern nation relative to Malaysia and greater Asia, considering:
- that Malaysia and Singapore used to be a nation before they split.
- Malaysia has an enormous landmass relative to Singapore.
- Malaysia is a land bountiful with natural resources.
Of course the geographical location of Singapore has helped them as a city-state trading port/hub. But that doesn't take much away from their nation's remarkable story.
