No I don't think you're reading too much into it. It is a significant buy - almost 7 million more shares to add to their 30 million already held.
When one of the largest corporations in the world, and one in which Buffet now holds a significant shareholding as well, starts accumulating a company like Paladin, this should be seen for what it is - a massive vote of confidence in this company as a long term investment.
