A range of different sources, some credible, some less so. The intellectual property transfer made sense back when China was a fledgling nation on the global scene. It was a way for them to catch up with other markets and help their people. Now its less so, ive read reports they are strengthening IP laws to move away from stealing technology. Theres no clear indication of what technology they target, perhaps medical devices isnt one. Perhaps UCM didnt have to submit anything. Perhaps UCM tech isnt as difficult as say computer processing etc. DYOR. China is just a whole different society and government structure. You should be aware that theres additional risk then say investing in a simple Australian company. But China has been booming, so higher rewards come with higher risk.
