Bioeffective A is classified as a "Practitoner Only" supplement. As you are aware, it can be purchased without prescription from any outlet that has a "Practitioner" by definition of the TGA on the premises.
We have been advised that to sell this item over the internet that we are required to categorise the supplement the same as a "Pharmacist-Only" medicine. This means that we must collect some medical information about you to ensure that the product is suitable for you. If you were to purchase Pharmacist-Only medicines from a pharmacy you would be asked questions face to face. Via the internet we do this by allowing you to fill out a short form. As you may be aware, their is no known issues with Bioeffective A in terms of side-effects or combining it with other medications.
Please note that all information submitted by you is treated in the stricted confidence.
Also, the fact that our website asks you for Medicare card information is an "issue" for us. I have asked our I.T guru to look into removing this field from the online order form as we obviously do not need this information for a non-prescription item. You can enter any number you like in that field as we will not have a use for it.
