You have raised an excellent and very valid point regarding lung recovery.
As per Mesoblasts Announcement on Thu 9th April,
The public-private partnership with the US NIH's Heart, Lungs and Blood Institute as a FLEXIBLE platform for collaborative trials.
This strategic collaboration hasn't sunk in yet. The multi-centre trials and results will undoubtably provide a platform a seat at the table for ongoing medical support/therapy to the US government via the US Health System. Moneyblast indeed....
