Looking forward to TOP 20 s/holder release in the annual report. Keep an eye out for Portman/Cleveland CLiffs nominees IMO.

Portman assessing Mindax project

Portman Ltd, Australia's fourth largest iron ore producer, is conducting due diligence on Mindax Ltd's Mt Forrest project in Western Australia after visiting the site.

Mindax said it had granted Portman access to technical data after personnel from the company visited the iron ore project near Sandstone in WA, 150 kilometres from the railway at Menzies.

Mt Forrest is in the early stages, with Mindax envisaging completing a preliminary resource for the project by January 2009.

Portman produces about eight million tonnes of iron ore each year from its Koolyanobbing and Cockatoo Island operations in WA.
