Yeah I get it. As you say, someone did a pretty good explanation earlier. I believe they just keep rolling off a small amount of production into the lowest price hedges each year.
On top of that they're just not as geared (debt) as some of the bigger producers. Combine that with the hedging they have (even if they only unwind a portion each year it's still sitting there on the Balance Sheet) so their exposure to the gold price isn't as great.
That's my take on why the swings aren't as large anyway.
