Yes hope2008, Mr Avin lieberman's buy holding of 10,500,000 shares is some what a confidence booster to cer holders and with Avin's ability to build Zenprop, to one of SA's(South Africa's) biggest property companies, maybe this is the start of bigger things too come our way.

Maybe soon we might get outside interest by some other companies and private holders who can see real intrinsic value in these malls and who might consider to invest in cer in a big way; also noting that the seperation process b/w cnp and cer is underway.

Share prices will move up and down in the short term but this doesn't bother me one bit as i'm in for the longer term. It's the companies that are still overpriced are the ones in danger now.cer is well undervalued and people that understand this are the ones that will reap the rewards within 5years.

One other thing that fascinates me is the type of quality income producing assets that cer hold as apposed to that of small mining companies who trade above 20cents and have given their shareholders absolutely "Nothing" because they aren't worth anything in the first place. No Assets to show the shareholders is what you call a massive gamble and these small mining companies are only traders who speculate on short term chart movements which might be lucky and might not be.Not pointing the finger at any investor who plays this game, but i firmly believe you have to be a real pro trader with years of experience that can manage to take the good with the bad.Good luck to the winners in this game. Not for me though!!

Anyhow if i personally saw cer as a risk i wouldn't be buying this stock; but it's great to hear from other analysts saying that cer is the safer option over cnp as well (balance sheet related) it just supports my research over the 2 companies. If cer can pay a 1.4 cent dividend in the current situation and cnp pay nothing that tells me we are more stable than our big brother.I still hold my 10% in cnp but 90% is held in cer now.

Again i think each day that goes by things are looking much better for cer and its shareholders; as the world now is effected by the credit crunch which enables "Cashed Up" Professional Investors/firms too look for assets to buy that are recession proof.

Could this be the start of a new improved independent cer?
