Ann: ESPL to enter Indian eSports market via strategic p/ship, page-4

This is of course super price sensitive ! Let me tell you why:

1. Indian game market - its the fastest growing in the world with 1.3billion popuiation. It means viewership has huge potential. Not only that, unlike traditional sports like soccer, cricket, basketball, esports can be a participation sports for all - meaning not only you can watch but you can also easily fire up your smartphone and compete . More user engagement = more revenue.

2. PayTM - PayTM is a USD17 bilion valuation company (just look that up on Crunchbase). It is a fintech company with 500 million registered users. This arguably is the most influential digital company in India with the widest digital Indian consumer reach. Perfect partner for ESPL.

3. Big backers - PayTM is backed by guess-who ?! Softbank and Alibaba . I think if ESPL India does well, ESPL will be on radar of Softbank and Alibaba, both are known investors in gaming sector. They pay top money to buy good companies.

4. Valuation of ESPL - I did some quick check (on Crunchbase again) , esports companies, private and public alike, command premium valuation. With this type of traction and a very interesting business model, I can argue that ESPL can be a US$100 m company. ICI owns 35% of that. Guess how much is ICI marketcap, less than A$7m ! This is just my personal assessment and speculation , but it has that upside potential - that's all I am saying.

5. Management of ESPL - This again prooves that ESPL can execute super well. Take a look at the CV of the management at espl.co , its a stellar crew. This is a winning team. Then it is just a matter of deciding if esports will be huge or not. You all know the anwer.

Sorry for the long post, but my genuine assessment based on my knowldege of the industry. My only bias is I love gaming sector, I love it even more now because of COVID-19 - everyone staying at home for long duration, it is a massive shot of steroid for gaming companies.
