Around 5% of people who get Covid need acute care.The US is moving to reopening the economy without any option for treating people with Covid / ARDS. Not hard to imagine some rampant virus breakout there in coming months ( particularly in Southern states) causing large spikes in Covid as well as across other parts of the world. I agree its a very big number but that going to be the magnitude of the problem to be resolved for the western world to be able to return to some form of normal.
No I don't think MSB will be selling that number but ignoring the rest of the world 4m is only ~1.25% of US population. That's the scale of the public health issue now the virus has spread through large parts of their society
