Yes though . Troubling times indeed .
I’m still very sad for anyone just being diagnosed with cancers and Leukaemia now though !
So unbelievably tough .

Those who have already been in significant treatment also ,or who are not in remission or have relapsed , truly must Not have contact with anyone who can make them sick .
( colds , flues and definitely not the coronavirus )

The other side of this , and probably not far away at all - there will be significant anger at the existing big Pharma current corporate archaic drug and treatment regime which has developed over the last 25 years .

It should be - “above all ~ do No harm “ .

Doxyrubicin has been around , seriously, since in the 1970s .
It directly causes notable heart damage and cardio toxicity .

The health authorities haven’t cared or concerned enough about women either - who have greater risk for enduring cardiac damage and eventually going into heart failure with the existing chemotherapy used for many cancers including breast .
The reason this Management team of people have individually dedicated and concentrated themselves here , working with Race oncology, is for Bisantrene .
They want to see Bisantrene , with its proven past efficacy , without the heart toxicity brought into use - especially where existing chemotherapy agents use has been exhausted and the risks for higher degrees of cardiac toxicity is unacceptable.

Easy to forget right now , given recent months , and when the world has become covid 19 fraught .
Accentuated to me now, really with current times - heart failure ! is a huge issue .
Cardiac damage from cancer treatments , currently , places people at far greater risk from covid -19 even .

How can we have , patients with cancer and leukaemia now , being given the registered chemotherapy drug , which has been around for decades, and is an horrendous drug.
Current chemotherapy, other anthrcyclines , leave cancer patients with heart damage .

There are alternatives to try, and Oncology really needs new agents ~ which cause less harm .

This is why - Race has attracted the high calibre , world leading oncologist researcher doctors they have, who have come in and joined the team .
