It goes straight to the Crown with the understanding that the Crown will pay each worker, at a minimum, the amount they are paid through Centrelink. So for the 5% of the staff they do retain, they will be able to receive $750 per week per employee for keeping them on their books.
Also, had they had more imagination, they would have receive $750 per employee for the 95% of employees they fired, and they could have kept them employed and gave them other jobs to do (for example, delivering meals to nursing homes, or something, anything). Now, given they acted so hastily, the not only have lost 95% of their employees, which they would have had in essence "for free", but the employees that lost their jobs can't apply for the $750 payment independently, they have to be employed.
