jravanti I totally agree with your thermo siphon.
I propose extend your concept with solar power through a clear canopy, to speed up the updraft.
Then place the heat exchangers, and air-driven turbine generators, around the periphery at ground level where the air enters
(or below ground as you see fit)
Then you harvest energy from the "waste" heat off the exchangers as electricity
