I believe China was using Remdesivir in severe cases in combination with a malaria drug and it (unofficially) helped. However it is a potential treatment.
I've been following mRNA-1273 with interest since last month. Hopefully it helps as a vaccine. The market also thinks it may be a solution as Moderna has risen approximately 100% since then and they have also just been given approximately $500m federal funding.
