I remember watching TV 20 years ago and those same pictures of starving children are still on TV. How long does it take a parent from a starving environment to work out that they are responsible for their childs death. One death or perhaps two deaths or perhaps millions. These populations can't blame social indoctrination, poverty and/or religious doctrin forever. At some point reality must sink in. After 20 years of starvation i doubt it has.
I walked past a man sitting on the footpath today with a sign, reading Help me i'm homeless. His hat partly filled with coins. He was late 20's early 30's in sound shape.
Against my better judgement i approached him and asked if he was Australian. Yes he replyed. You'd be on the doll them i said. I got no where to live he remarked. One bedroom/bedsitters are affordable with government rental assistance . That should help with your problem, i said.. He responded aggressively F**ck off and mind your own F***king business. So i turned away and went back to my office.
So much for trying to fix one problem let alone shrinking the earths population.
