You need to look at that in a different way Can you think of anyone who was more accurate in predicting climate ,No one can predict a simple thing like horse racing It is difficult to predict to exact order of each horse let alone the exact times,Most people fail to get the just winner The point is these people have got the broader picture right and with increased information each year it gets better as does weather prediction So in broad brush pictures co2 levels will rise ,tick, Didnt rise every day but how much would you care to bet me that co2 levels will be higher on 20 May this year than they were on 20 may 2010. In fact i will bet you that despite all the lockdowns that it is higher than any day in 2010 Please tell me how climate deniers did on this one They have been correct on predicting that with Co2 increases would come GLOBAL temp increases ,Well globally 19 of the worlds hottest recorded years have been since 2000 Do you think this just chance and how are the climate deniers doing on this one They predicted with global warming would come an increase in extreme weather events including both droughts and floods on different areas and even went so far as to identify the broad areas which they would occurr They got a hell of a lot more right than wrong .So please tell which climate deniers did better on this They even started sticking their necks out on some wild calls such as increased bushfire risk in Australia or California (bloody alarmists creating despondency) But you know what the insurance companies who study this more carefully than you do agree with them.They also agree on sea level rise although this is currently small it is significant in terms of increase in losses Hurricanes/ cyclones whose effects have become more significant are also much more expensive to insure against Why would this be if we have "always had then" They predicted the widespread loss of coral reefs and associated ecosystems and the demise of certain land species and loss of others ,They even predicted the extinction of mammal species specifically due to AGW and yup Australia claimed the gold medal in that particular race I say hats off to those who stuck there necks out ,actually predicted outcomes got ridiculed (and still do) along the way.moreover they are mainly ridiculed to people who have made zero input into the understanding of this climate change issue So yes you will find some mistakes they have made .Well the man who never made a mistake never made anything else either Every year the mistakes get smaller the certainty of AGW being a major problem .becomes more conclusive ,more possible consequences are identified and more people recognize the problem needs tackling .this particularly true in the educated mover shakers Hats of to these people for alerting us to the problem and indeed contributing to make it less of a problem
