Nobody other than Qantas’ 92,000 shareholders want to see a monopoly (including the Federal Government) so it’s monopolistic status will no doubt be relatively short lived.
I also wouldn’t be surprised to see some sort of program by the ACCC to see that price gouging doesn’t happen whilst they have the domestic market pretty much to themselves.
