If we can both be virus free then we offer something to travellers that they probably won't find anywhere else. The opportunity to live a relatively virus free existence while they are here in the antipodes.

Sure they may need to do a 14 day quarantine of some kind but we could offer extended visas for those who want to stay 12 months as a break from their virus ridden other worlds. Would have appeal to the older well heeled market.
