"I would put Singapore Airlines at top of list along with Air New Zealand" – I disagree. No airline anywhere in the world would be prepared to tie up their liquidity in a takeover at present; especially of an entity that couldn't turn a profit even before SARS-Cov2 turned up. Every airline in the world is in exactly the same revenue-starved state as Virgin. The only differences between them is the amount of liquidity they have. And at the moment liquidity/costs is exactly how long each airline can live. I don't believe any airline will move on an acquisition until they're confident that they can last out the restrictions.
