Banks have a PE on yesterday's (top of the cycle earnings), which cannot be relied on going forwards. AMP has already been belted and it's E is now likely bottom of the cycle earnings. Hence don't believe you can accurately compare the two in that way, at this point in time.
AMP is a clear deep value play, but will require some patience before the rewards.
