There are many stategies for growing a business ... not just your "purity" organic method. A business does what it has to in the cheapest possible way & if is cheaper to buy a customer via the aquisition of a competitor then it's a good move.
I notice you don't say theat Westnet is a bad business or that iiNet overpaid for it, so why the beef against iiNet? Seems to me the deal was OK & now iiNet has a wider user base.
Now, to follow your arguement re aquisition, I'd suggest that EfTel's very existence and any subsequent growth has been solely the result of aquisitions!!!
So how do you stand on that issue ???
