    Hi YC

    Hope those storms the other day missed your plot?

    Re nations "defending" their currency.

    Such artificial defence by small nations would be as futile as holding a hand up to stop a tsunami .... the numbers are just too overwhelming & would ultimately bankrupt the country.
    Besides virtually every country that has a perceived need to defend has been guilty, to at least the same extent as the USA, of explosive credit creation themselves.

    IMO the spike up in the USD is a temporary consequence of the massive sell-off of US held investments around the world and the subsequent repatriation of that capital to US
