They only sold Spookfish Australia for $1.5m.

I read that to include only the Australian operations and customer base. i.e. excluding the really valuable parts of Spookfish being the camera, processing and delivery systems which EV will undoubtedly continue to own and operate in every other market.

It sounds like EagleView decided the losses from operating in Australia weren't worth the effort, and from Aerometrix's POV there would be straightforward synergies in serving those customers from surveys they already flew.
