It's applicable in Australia ....we were invited a while back to certain investment (seeding ) that required 708 certification ...our accountant sorted that certification out within 24 hours as this particular offering we were keen on after studying it.....so in order to take advantage the certification was a pre requisite....but that's another holding not anything to do with MSB or even in the remotely the same field. 708 or Sophisticated investor is pretty much the same thing.
I'd get your accountant to look at providing the documentation and certification needed ....for this one we didn't feel the need to go through one of our brokers as it wasn't something they had bought to us. It came through different channels Cheers
